The opportunity is taking advantage of the fact that just about everyone finds it inconvenient to have to get their vehicle serviced. Whether it is waiting in line, having to sit in the waiting room, or even just having to drive over there, nobody likes it. The solution is simple. Do not have the customers come in. With technology we can load the same program that the repair facility uses onto a tablet, drive to the customer's home or work and pick up their vehicle. Use the tablet to fill out the repair order and have them sign. We will also leave a loaner vehicle with the customer in case they need to go somewhere while we have their vehicle. When the vehicle is ready we will bring it back out to the customer and switch vehicles. They can pay with a credit card with a tablet accessory or pay cash which ever they prefer. With this process we would schedule 2 appointments, first a pick up then a drop off and that is it. This will increase costs, however the added convenience will increase customer retention and also word will spread about your service that no one else is offering, which in the end will increase your customer base. I would call the service the "No GO Service Plan".
William, I am not sure if you are aware that your video is not on your blog. I would love to give you honest feedback once your video is there. On the other hand, you had a well written preview about your elevator pitch. The idea of not having to be physically present when your vehicle needs to be serviced sounds like a great idea to me do to the fact that it inconveniences people. Your plan revolves around catering to the customer, which I find to be an excellent plan for the prosperity of your business. Just post that video because I am sure it is great!
Hello William. Your video set to private so I can’t really say anything about your presentation in your elevator pitch. But based on what you’ve written, I really like your idea. I am part of the demographic that doesn’t like going to get my car serves. I think the idea of someone taking my car to be serviced while I stay at home is a great opportunity.
My idea isn’t as large scale as yours, but check out my elevator pitch: http://jent3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no1.html
Hey William! I think this is an incredible idea. I recently needed to get my car serviced just the other day and really didn't want to have to deal with driving to a repair shop and waiting hours. Your opportunity would eliminate this inconvenience and I think it would be something a lot of people would utilize. If you want to check out my pitch here's the link! http://charlysbizblog.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
