This is a very difficult assignment for me, because I do not
understand what the SEO is or how it is set up.
I know that when using the keyword “wjkms” in the search box on google my
blog pulls up on page 4 of the google search results. I really cannot say that I made any
additional efforts to promote my blog on google. I did not use it on social media, mostly
because I really do not use social much.
I have a facebook that I barely up if at all. Most of the time it is something that my wife
puts on there or tells me to. I do not
have any other social media accounts, because I would not use them either. Before taking this class I had no idea how to
create a blog. Trying new things and
learning new internet uses may very well be the biggest thing I take away from
this class. That is meaning anything negative
to the class what so ever I think that it is a very good class, I am just so
far behind the rest of the world when it comes to what technology can do and
how to use it. I would my most viral
post would be “World’s Biggest Problems” from Week 3. I do not know why but it received 20 views
according to the view counter and that was higher than any of the others. I thought that “Celebrating Failure” was one
of my best posts and enjoyed writing that one the most. The reason I think this is because while the
post overall was light hearted talking about March Madness and the tournament,
I feel that I made important points to carry with a person throughout
life.

Hi William! Probably what made your "World's Biggest Problems" post receive the most views were the widely searched-for words you used in your post. I know that my post that got the most traction had a lot of popular words like: market, business, phone, message, strategy, etc. These words get searched for a lot, so my blog may have popped up for those who searched for particular words I had in my post. See if you can make any connections like this! I thought it was neat. Check out my post here: http://analeisent3003.blogspot.com/2016/04/week-14-google-gold.html
ReplyDeleteHey, William! You and I had similar experiences with the whole SEO thing. I actually didn't find any links to my page unless it was in a comment on someone else' post. I agree with Analeis that your "World's Biggest Problems" post received the most views because of the words you used in your post. Nicely done and keep up the good work!
