Week 9 Reading Reflection

Something that I was not sure of was the meaning of the secondary data.  I understood what it was just how it is obtained or its purpose.  For instance is it after you’ve gathered the first time are you then gathering data to see what the views are on the data you’ve obtained already?  Or, are you just gathering it from a secondary source and not using the first data points right now?  That would bring into a question.  What is the best way to utilize your secondary data?  My next questions would be, is the quantitative vs. qualitative research set up similar to that of how it is used in statistics?  Such as one basically gives you a yes no response and the other is actually seeing a number or percentage for a response?  I was actually quite surprised to see such an in depth beginning for a marketing plan for social media.  While I know it is a major part of our lives I assumed it is still a new and growing avenue and thought it would be a while to develop a successful strategy and how to implement it.  I did not find anything that I disagree with.  Marketing is something that I am interested in yet do not know much about.  I took this chapter as big learning experience and was not really for a point of disagreement this time.
