I think that this may have been the most important chapter
in the text. Understanding the finances
and how they work are the most important part of the business. An entrepreneur has to be able to understand
where their money is going where it is coming in and what they need to put it
toward. I loved that fact that the
author used so many tables and charts in this chapter because I think that it
makes it easier to understand when you can see the chart. During one of the interviews earlier in the
semester when we had to interview an entrepreneur, understanding the financial working
was the area he wished he learned more about before he got started. While having a basic understanding of how it
works I still think that hiring a financial expert is the best way to go to
ensure that no mistakes are made. I do
not know if the reflection questions really fit with this post, but I think
that this chapter is unique in that it is based on math which is basically just
facts no real room to argue or disagree.
It is all concepts and formulas so while you may need to work to
understand it, it isn’t confusing in that it does not make sense as why. I also would not ask the author anything
directly as I still need to master the concepts discussed there is nothing that
I would need ask as far as applying to the real world.
